While “Igusa” bags are made flat with a special loom from a rope of “Igusa” rush, these bottle baskets are made entirely by hand. 
The three sizes are, from left to right, Small, Medium, and Large.




It is a slender basket, but this weaving is for stretching, It adapts to the items you put in it, stretching and expanding as you put them in.




Also, when the weaving is finished, the front and back are turned over from the bottom to complete the process, and by doing so, the weight from the top creates a tighter weaving action.






This is size S. This one is just right for water bottles and small plastic bottles.


Small size handle. The handle is made differently from the medium and large sizes.




Carry it with you when you go out for a walk or hook it on your bag.


This is size M. These are the sizes for small Japanese sake bottle, wine bottles, and 500ml PET bottles.


A wine bottle is placed in the medium size. It is the perfect size.


Similarly, onions are stored in the medium size. It also functions as a hanging storage basket in this way. It can hold about two onions.






This is size L. The large size is made to hold a 1.8 Litter Sake bottle.


We actually put an unopened bottle of sake in it. It is exactly the right size, as it is made for that purpose. There is absolutely no concern about the basket due to the weight.


Both are large sizes, plus the one on the left has been in use for several years. The color will become lighter, just like tatami mats.
