These strings are made by twisting water hyacinth, a water plant that grows wild in slow-flowing rivers and ponds.
Three types of strings of different thicknesses, sizes S, M, and L.






After harvesting, water hyacinth is dried in the sun to dry well and fumigated.


Fumigation removes moisture from the material, stabilizes it as a material, and prevents insects.


After drying, the softened water hyacinth is twisted by hand and joined together to form a long rope, 10 meters long per rope.


From left to right: S size (about 2mm diameter), M size (about 3mm diameter), and L size (about 4mm diameter). The thickness is not constant, and there is a slight fluctuation in size.

Water hyacinth strings are slightly fibrous and have a matte texture.

Occasionally, the fibers may peel off and small flecks may fall out.

Although the difference is only 1 mm, the impression is different for each size, and the L size has a finish that allows you to feel the texture of the material more.
