This basket is woven from a grass that grows wild in wetlands, called Kok in Thailand.
On this page, we introduce hanging basket for hooking and storing root vegetables and other items.




Kok is dried in the sun well after harvesting.


After drying, the softened Kok is twisted by hand into a long rope.


Kok made into ropes are stronger and make even tougher baskets.


Two ropes are crossed and tied together to form a plaited weave. When lightly pulled, it stretches from side to side.






The bottom of the basket is tightly woven and fastened, but has a small hole.


It is large enough to hold 3 or 4 onions.






For storing vegetables such as potatoes and taro at room temperature.




It looks good as a net to keep the balls in.




When storing them, it is best to keep them in a well-ventilated room where they will not accumulate moisture.
We recommend placing it on a high shelf or hanging it rather than leaving it on the floor,
and if you have a two-story house, placing it on the second floor rather than the first floor.
