The three rings of the Shimenawa(a sacred rope) and the three tassel-like ornaments are particularly striking. The three loops are meant to represent a circle of people, and are a symbol of good fortune and good connections.
Also, Shimekazari decorations from all over Japan often use this triple ring shape, and this spiral shape is also said to be modeled on the way a snake coils itself.
The Oriental zodiac sign for the year 2025 is the year of the snake, and the meaning of the three interlocking rings and the coiled snake overlap, so this is truly a good coincidence.
