Pendant “Rose” Large / Walnut Bark / Yamagata-JPN 311423 山形県/くるみ 花編みペンダント 革丸ひも 大 表・裏 2種 ルイ版
These pendants are woven from walnut bark into rose-like shapes.
The walnut bark is known for the contrast between its outer and inner sides. The one on the left is the “outer surface” type, made mainly with the light brown outer bark. The one on the right is the “inner surface” type, made with the dark brown underside of the bark.In both types, the center of the flower uses the reversed color of bark. The combination and contrast of tones in each piece give them depth and timeless appeal. This is the “outer surface” type. And this is the “inner surface” type. The shade and texture of the walnut bark vary from piece to piece, so each pendant is slightly different.A leather cord runs through the weave and is securely fixed in place. The cord is a round leather string with an adjustable sliding clasp. This is the “outer surface” type. Here it is shown worn with the cord lengthened. Its light and calm tone adds a gentle touch of brightness to your outfit. This is the “inner surface” type. Here the cord is worn shorter. Its dark tone and subtle sheen give it a strong presence—it can even stand as a centerpiece.
Like leather, walnut bark becomes smoother and develops a gentle sheen over time with touch. Please enjoy its evolving texture as you use it over time.
Please choose your preferred type.
