Full Apron / Brush Gray, Madras / Khadi cotton / IND 330905 インド/カディ Full Apron Brush Gray / Madras 2タイプ
This is a halter-neck type apron made of Indian “Khadi” cotton.
This is “Brush Gray” type. (The towel hanging from the waist is sold separately. Apron only.)
This is “Madras” type. (The towel hanging from the waist is sold separately as well. Apron only.)
We introduce two types of aprons with two different patterns.
The fabric feels comfortable and smooth against the skin when touched.
The Khadi Apron dries quickly and has excellent moisture absorption and heat retention properties. The fabric is lightweight, so even if you wear it for a long time, you will not feel fatigue such as stiff shoulders.
By folding the breastplate inward, it can also be used as a sommelier apron.
We hope you will find it useful for cooking, working, and cleaning. Please choose the type you prefer.
— Series made by “Khadi” —
Khadi, an Indian cotton fabric, is made from hand-spun cotton yarns and hand-woven, a very time-consuming process compared to mass-produced products made by machines.
These Khadi are made in Rajasthan, northwest India, and are made from organic cotton that is grown naturally with almost 100% rainwater only, without irrigation canals.
During the hand-spinning process, cotton dregs, such as the “calyx” of the cotton plant, are also mixed in slightly, giving the fabric a rustic texture similar to linen blends, even though it is 100% cotton.
This Khadi series is a brand product of “Suno & Morrison” which is active in Japan.
<How to care>
*Laundering with a mild detergent is acceptable (chlorine or enzyme bleach is not acceptable).
*Unevenness in color and weave may be observed. Please note that this is a characteristic of the material.
*This item is dyed in India and is colorfast, but the color may fade slightly depending on conditions such as the time of yarn dyeing (rainy season) To be safe, it is best to wash it separately from other items. We recommend that indigo products, in particular, be washed two or three times before use.
*Because the items are hand-dyed and hand-woven, the colors and patterns of the items you receive may differ slightly from those shown in the photographs. Please understand this in advance.

Brush Gray” is on the left and “Madras” is on the right. The Khadi series also uses natural dyes, with the blue dyed with indigo and the charcoal dyed with iron.Khadi is hand-woven with cotton yarns, but this Khadi series is woven with one weft yarn for every two warp yarns, which is a slightly different weave from the usual plain weave (one warp and one weft).“Brush Gray” has a pattern of slightly raised warp threads that will never get tired of being seen.“Madras” is an irregular check pattern with an exquisite indigo and charcoal color scheme. It seems to have a universal goodness as well. There is a towel loop on the side of the pocket. The loops can be used for hanging or tying towels. One large pocket is attached. Then there is the halter-neck type, which is worn over the head. The shoulder type can sometimes slip off the shoulders, but this type allows you to concentrate on your work without worrying about it.The straps that comes around the waist is about 85cm (33.46″) long. The hem or sides are made with fabric selvedges.
