Full Apron – Brush Gray, Madras / Khadi Cotton / IND 330905 インド/カディ Full Apron Brush Gray / Madras 2タイプ ルイ版
This is a halter-neck style apron made from Khadi cotton, a handwoven fabric from India.
Here is the “Brush Gray” type. (The towel hung from the waist tie is sold separately. This listing is for the apron only.)
This one is the “Madras” type. (As above, the towel hung from the waist tie is not included. Only the apron is available.)
We introduce two patterns of Khadi aprons.
In the photo, “Brush Gray” is on the left and “Madras” is on the right. All Khadi items in this series are dyed using natural dyes—indigo for the blue, and iron for the charcoal.Khadi is handwoven from cotton yarn. In this series, the fabric is woven with two warp threads to one weft thread, creating a subtle variation from the standard plain weave of one-to-one.In “Brush Gray,” the warp threads gently rise to form a subtly textured pattern that never feels monotonous. The “Madras” features an irregular check pattern, with a beautifully balanced mix of indigo and charcoal. It has a surprisingly timeless appeal.A towel loop is attached beside the pocket. You can use it to hang or tie a towel as needed. The apron features a single large front pocket. It is a halter-neck style that you wear by pulling it over your head. Unlike shoulder-strap aprons that may slip off during use, this one stays in place so you can focus on your tasks. The waist tie measures about 33.46″ in length. At the hem or side, you’ll find the fabric’s natural selvage used as part of the design.
The fabric feels smooth and pleasant against the skin.
This Khadi apron dries surprisingly fast, and it also offers excellent breathability and insulation. Since the fabric is so light, you can wear it for long hours without feeling strain or stiffness.
By folding the top panel inward, it can also be worn like a sommelier apron.
Perfect for cooking, work, or household chores—whatever the task, it’s ready to help. Please choose your favorite type.
–– Series made by “Khadi” ––
Khadi, a traditional Indian cotton fabric, is made by spinning cotton threads by hand and weaving them on a handloom. Compared to machine-made mass-produced textiles, it requires significantly more time and care to create.
This khadi fabric was made in Rajasthan, a region in northwestern India. It is woven from organic cotton grown naturally —without irrigation canals and relying almost entirely on rainwater.
Because the cotton is hand-spun, small remnants of the cotton plant —such as bits of calyx—sometimes remain in the fibers. Although it is 100% cotton, the fabric has a rustic texture that resembles linen.
This khadi series is a branded collection created by Suno & Morrison, a Japanese-based design studio known for their work with natural materials.
Care Instructions
*We recommend hand-washing, or using a gentle hand-wash cycle with the item placed in a laundry net. Please wash separately.
*Please note that slight irregularities in color and weave may be visible. These are natural characteristics of the material.
*Although this item is dyed in India and treated to prevent color bleeding, slight fading may occur depending on conditions such as the season of yarn dyeing (e.g. monsoon period). To be safe, we recommend washing it separately from other items. For indigo-dyed products in particular, we suggest washing them alone for the first two or three times before use.
*As each piece is hand-dyed and handwoven, the color and pattern may vary slightly from the photos. Thank you for your understanding.
Please note: This item ships from Japan. As the buyer, you are responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or local taxes that may be charged in your country. These costs are not included in the item price or shipping cost. Please check with your local customs authority if you are unsure about any potential charges before placing your order.
