This is a handwoven face towel made from Khadi yarn spun from organic cotton.
It features a distinctive “basket weave,” which gives it a textured, airy feel—similar to a waffle towel.
Two types are available: “Light Gray” (above) and “Indigo Black” (below).While it doesn’t have the thickness of a pile towel, it absorbs water well—and gets even more absorbent with each wash.Here is the “Light Gray” type.It’s incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, making it ideal as a face towel.And here is the “Indigo Black” type.It also works well as a table centerpiece, or as a soft cover to place over items in a tote or basket.You can use it like a tenugui as well—for wiping away sweat or wrapping small items on the go.
This towel is also breathable and quick to dry.
Since it folds down compactly, it’s perfect for travel or outings too. Please choose the color that suits you best.

Khadi, a traditional Indian cotton fabric, is made by spinning cotton threads by hand and weaving them on a handloom. Compared to machine-made mass-produced textiles, it requires significantly more time and care to create.
This khadi fabric was made in Rajasthan, a region in northwestern India. It is woven from organic cotton grown naturally —without irrigation canals and relying almost entirely on rainwater.
Because the cotton is hand-spun, small remnants of the cotton plant —such as bits of calyx—sometimes remain in the fibers. Although it is 100% cotton, the fabric has a rustic texture that resembles linen.
This khadi series is a branded collection created by Suno & Morrison, a Japanese-based design studio known for their work with natural materials.
Care Instructions
＊We recommend hand-washing, or using a gentle hand-wash cycle with the item placed in a laundry net. Please wash separately.
＊Please note that slight irregularities in color and weave may be visible. These are natural characteristics of the material.
＊Although this item is dyed in India and treated to prevent color bleeding, slight fading may occur depending on conditions such as the season of yarn dyeing (e.g. monsoon period). To be safe, we recommend washing it separately from other items. For indigo-dyed products in particular, we suggest washing them alone for the first two or three times before use.
