Orders for the works by Hiromi Kiriyama featured here will be accepted only during the period: → September 11 (Thursday) to September 30 (Tuesday), 2025.

3) Kindly note that payment is required at the time of order placement (rather than upon delivery). Please choose your preferred method of payment. — Payment on delivery is not available for this event.
4) Once we confirm your payment, we will place the production request with Hiromi Kiriyama. As preparation for production will begin immediately, we are unable to accept any cancellations after payment has been completed.
5) For items that are currently in stock, we plan to ship them within approximately one week after the exhibition ends on September 15. For items that are made to order, please allow between 3 months to 1 year for production and delivery.
Depending on the total number of orders received, additional time beyond the above estimate may be required. We appreciate your understanding.

6) If you order multiple items by Hiromi Kiriyama, and some are in stock while others are not, we will ship them in two separate packages according to the guidance in section 5.
In such cases, shipping will only be charged once. We will cover the shipping cost for the second package.
You may also include our regular items in the same order. However, if any of the Kiriyama items require production, a second shipping fee will be charged.
7) In cases where we receive a large number of orders for a particular item, we may close pre-orders for that item even during the official order period, after consulting with Hiromi Kiriyama.

This basket, named the “Compote Basket,” is woven from shaved strips of green bamboo. Its sharply cinched shape immediately catches the eye.
Mr. Kiriyama often shapes his work in response to customers’ requests, but for this compote basket he said, “I love this form and simply wanted to make it.” It is one of his heartfelt creations.
Green bamboo refers to Madake bamboo freshly cut while still retaining its natural green color. This basket is woven with strips of green bamboo whose outer skin has been shaved thin. By shaving the outer skin, the hard enamel-like layer is removed, giving the surface a softer appearance. It also adds a natural sheen, enhancing its beauty. Over time, it gradually changes into a warm amber color, evenly and beautifully.
On the back of the basket, a single piece of smoked bamboo is discreetly inserted. This is a mark shared between Mr. Kiriyama and the user, showing the “front” of the basket. When displaying it, place this smoked bamboo at the front.
Mr. Kiriyama has said that making bamboo baskets is “sometimes something where you may even be conscious of the universe.” Looking at this basket, you can truly feel that.
No matter how long you gaze at it, you never grow tired. Who would have thought you might imagine the universe from a basket? Yet from this piece, you may sense the maker’s vision of the “depths of creation.”
