It is woven from peeled willow—strips made by removing the outer bark of the willow branch.




The peeled willow sourced from Lithuania is known for its gentle, pale color.


Under natural light, it reflects a bright yet soft glow, giving the basket a warm and delicate appearance.




The shape widens gently from the top toward the bottom.

The willow rods are used just as they are—without splitting—woven one by one in a neat, precise sequence.


The rim is finished with a braided trim, giving the basket a touch of European charm.


The handles are made by using two thicker willow rods as the core and wrapping them with finer willow. They feel gentle in the hand, with very little wobble, giving a stable and comfortable grip.


The connection between the handles and the basket is reinforced by crossing additional willow strips in an X-shaped wrap after the initial binding, giving it extra strength and durability.


The base is woven with a tightly packed pattern, reflecting the traditional and sturdy construction commonly seen in European willow basketry.


The base has a beautifully shaped oval form.
