The Letter Basket comes in three sizes: S, M, and L.




All sizes share the same construction. Wide, thinly sliced strips are woven in a regular diagonal pattern.


The pine used has no knots, allowing the natural grain to be seen clearly.


Although the basket is woven directly from wood, the thin strips give it a smooth and gently soft feel when touched.


The front rim is visible here, with the left and right edges fastened together at the center.

It is the smallest and most compact of the three sizes.


It is well suited for holding postcard-sized items. It can be used to store mail or flyers from your favorite shops, or as a container for stationery. It also works well in an entryway, for keeping items such as stamps or keys.


This is the M size.


It is a convenient size for holding standard envelopes.


Here, two remote controls are placed in the M size. By hanging it, items that would otherwise sit on a table or counter can be kept neatly out of the way.


This is the L size. It is large enough to hold B5-sized paper.


Because the opening is slightly narrower, items need to be gently bent when placed inside. It is, of course, also suitable for storing postcards, envelopes, and everyday mail.


Here, medicine packets are placed in the L size. It may make the moment of taking medicine feel just a little more pleasant.




In Estonia, it is also known as a flower basket.

It could be lovely to arrange dried flowers or simple wildflowers in it as well.




Because of its structure, keeping the contents relatively light will help maintain the basket in good condition over time.

In this village, there is a family-run workshop that has been making baskets for over 25 years, using pine harvested in Estonia. 
The baskets made there are remarkably simple, woven from wide strips of wood, 
allowing the natural character of pine to be fully appreciated. 
Twisted handles made from birch wood are also used, 
giving the baskets a distinctive look and color palette typical of Northern Europe.


This workshop works with as many as twenty makers. 
In order to maintain consistent quality and provide feedback to the makers, 
baskets made by those outside the family are marked with initials on the base.


Designed in response to everyday life and to customers’ requests,
